Philosophy of "Ahweh"
Life is a very special thing and should never be taken lightly. Life should be loved and cared for with great compassion and respect. We as humans have been given the opportunity, if we choose, to acknowledge our oneness with all things. When we have acknowledged our oneness with all things we can take the next step and take our place as "Ahweh" (all things). For being one with all things is being a part of all things. Whether it be a flower, rock, tree or a star a billion miles away we are a part of it, and it is a part of us. As you read on, allow yourself to feel the words. As you read them, become one with them for they are already a part of you because you are a part of me. We are one with all things. Allow yourself to awaken to a new level of yourself. Then you will find me there with you , a part of you, ready to share all that I have to offer and all that I am with you, and all that are there with us. With these words I am sharing of myself with you now, and as you read them, you in turn, are sharing of yourself with me. Because in truth there are no barriers between us. We are one, one with all things. We are "Ahweh" (all things).

Does following this philosophy mean that I have to give up sport fishing and hunting?

Does following this philosophy mean that I have to give up sport fishing and hunting? Taeman If you express honor to the fish for their efforts and return them to the water with care to live a longer life. Or you keep them to eat honor them for giving up their lives and thank them for being sustenance for your body upon your table then I would say keep fishing. George (Ahweh)

I agree with you on both counts. Every molecule on earth at one time was in space and made in the hot furnaces of the forming of suns, galaxies and the planets. Through collisions with the earth the stuff of life rained down like manna from heaven. In a most fundamental way we are all star stuff and are very much connected by physics, biology and chemistry. Our cousins are the trees, fish the mammals and all life on planet earth.
It is always good to be grateful when you catch a fish or eat that stake you got from Publix supermarket because a life died so you can live. There is nothing wrong with being a predator that respects the prey life forms even though you have to eat them. All predators must eat the prey animals or they will starve so I do believe you can both eat what you need at the same time respect the animal that is eaten. The American Indians knew this well.

Mrs D It is such a shame that people of today do not have the respect for the things of our world that people of the past had. I feel that our home would be a much better place to live if everyone would teach their children to be more conscious of how they treat every thing upon this planet. If our DNA was rearranged just a little bit we could be any other thing on this planet, which is something to think about. George (Ahweh)
