This is a continuation of the lessons concerning a Sith interpretation of the Tarot. For the introduction to Sith Tarot, go to that thread to read it if you have not done so. I recommend that you all buy a deck so that you can see the images and start to use the cards.
The first card in the deck is called THE FOOL. It is one of the Major Arcana cards and its number is 0. This is because it represents the beginning, the origin. It is that moment when the Force creates spirit beings and they first manifest in the material plane. The 22 Major Arcana cards represent a soul's journey in the material world with all the varied experiences that are possible.
Try to imagine being nabbed by a flying saucer and dropped off on some alien planet where you don't know where you are, how things work, and where you are going. What if you had no clear memories of your home planet. What if you hit your head on a rock and had amnesia. THE FOOL would fit such a situation. Esoterically, it means an ignorant state yet an innocent state like that of a young child. In Wanless' deck, it is called FOOL CHILD. The traditional deck shows a fellow in goofy clothes merrily and obliviously walking along with a little knapsack and dog with him. He is like a kid off on a journey who is both excited about the adventure, and yet fearful and not knowing all he is in for.
In the Star Wars universe, such a card may fit a youngling Jedi like the ones Yoda was instructing in Episode 2. "Truly wonderful the mind of a child is...," he says. It could also fit the character Jar Jar who was very childlike and lacking in worldly know how. These are not the traits one associates with the Sith. These are usually just pawns in the maneuverings of Palpatine. Sith tend to be just the opposite. They have superb worldly wisdom as well as Force sensitivity. If a Sith gets this card in a reading, it may be more of a warning, especially in the context of some grand plan on this earth.
This card can be a warning concerning foolishness, but not necessarily. The part of a person that is the spontaneous and fun-loving child is the part that will sense the Force the most. It is the part of a person that is closest to the Force (perhaps it IS your mediclorians). It is the child of the Force. It is the side that gets inspirations and sensings. It is the dreamer. This side understands the Force well and yet may be fooled by man, much like Jesus who never saw the plots encircling him.
It is the side that says as Qui-Gon said, "Feel, don't think. Use your instincts." It is the side that lives in the present moment.
A wise Sith would not suppress this side, either in him/herself or others. These childlike folk can see like owls even in the dark. It is like a witch who has a cat. They can sense shifts in the Force, oftentimes better than worldly people. They are good little radars. A Sith would do well to make such his loyal servant.
It is likely that many who wish to become Jedis or Siths fit this personality category. To put on a Jedi outfit and emulate a film is a very playful approach to religion. Many laugh at those who do this. Yet the Fool and Child trusts the Force, follows their hearts, and don't give a hoot what the critics say. They feel their path is the right one even if all the answers are not yet known. They trust the Force and their inner instincts.
