"Be true to the thought of the moment and avoid distraction. Other than continuing to exert yourself, enter into nothing else, but go to the extent of living single thought by single thought."
-From the 2nd Chapter of the Hagakure

I do not know Hagakure but I have read that idea in Zen stuff. Staying in the moment is very important in Zen. It is when the Buddha just spun a flower around and just smiled and laughed but said nothing. And that was his "lecture" that day.

Mrs. Darth Vader,
First, i apologize for not seeing the lecture(s) on here. Interesting I should bring that up at that time then, excellent timing. But, I will make a point to go back and catch up on the lectures given here at the Study Center. Like I said, I am new here so, again, I apologize. The Hagakure, which means "In the shadows of leaves", is most famously known as The Book of the Samurai. It was written by Yamamoto Tsunetomo sometime in the 1700's. It is recommended read as it gives information regarding the Way of the warrior. Also, the mindset that ones Master comes first, even before an apprentices own life.

Sifer Verlust You do not need to apologize here because when I put quotes around the word lecture it was to emphasize that this was a silent lecture. I was not telling you where you should have posted this. It was to emphasize the silent lecture given by Buddha. That was interesting. A warrior code from Japan. Some day I will have to consider that book. For whatever it is worth I own the movie called "The Last Samurai". I have watched it and think it a good movie.
